Abnormal moss

Mainland/Southwest
Air Quality| Ecosystems
I was walking back home from class at UBC, and I noticed something odd and different around me on campus. I saw moss growing all over this concrete slab wall. There was no point to this giant concrete wall, and I was confused why it was taking over the mosses and other plants' ecosystem. Moss needs an area with enough water and sunlight to grow and perform photosynthesis. The concrete environment doesn't provide the nutrients they need to thrive. This directly impacts our environment, with less plants performing photosynthesis, less carbon dioxide will be removed from the environment.
