Gem of the Gulf Islands

I've been a built environment practitioner for more than two decades, and now reside on Galiano Island, BC. Living off-grid in a remote area on the island, I've come to truly appreciate the connection between our built and natural environment. I lived, worked and played in cities most of my life, and this experience has deeply changed who I've become. Living in a natural setting and in protected areas such as this makes me realize that we all play a role in conservation and understanding the human function as it relates to biodiversity and wildlife. With climate change nipping at our heels, we must strive to be stewards of our lands and seas.
