I took this photo on the balcony of my house. I am very lucky to have such amazing views from the comfort of my home and it really makes me reflect on the and beautiful province that I live in. This photo is connected to climate change because as air pollution continues to grow due to the increased combustion of fossil fuels and biomass (residential woodburning, on-road vehicle emissions, etc.) and other pollutants, these views will no longer be accessible. This photo relates to health because limited visibility of clear skies and the amazing views BC offers its residents negatively affects ones mental well-being. Being able to view the mountains, clear skies, and nature really contributes to a positive and grateful outlook and as we lose access to these views, it can really impact mental health.
