Air Quality| Ecosystems
As I walked through my neighborhood in Langley, BC, a light rain had just passed, leaving behind a rainbow stretching up and seemingly indefinitely into the sky. This beautiful phenomenon occurs when sunlight refracts through water droplets in the atmosphere, a delicate balance of light and moisture. While a rainbow symbolizes resilience, it also serves as a reminder of our changing climate. Pollution and greenhouse gases alter air quality, affecting how light interacts with the atmosphere. As climate change intensifies, shifting weather patterns and extreme conditions threaten this beautiful, colorful balance – one we must protect before it fades.
