Panda in slumber

I took this photo during a summer trip to Chengdu, China. I believe it speaks loudly to the effects climate change has on the habitat of endangered wildlife. The red panda is a prime example of how climate change is pushing species to endangerment. As their habitat range falls in a narrow temperature range, rising temperatures have driven them to move to higher altitudes, leading to food scarcity. Conservation efforts such as the zoo in Chengdu have helped to restore some of their population, however it's still a dire situation for the species as global temperatures continue to rise each year.
