Under the shade of this Giant Arbutus Tree was our special place to visit and relax, when we would stroll along the trail in Kitsilano Beach Park. There it grew and overlooked English Bay in Vancouver. So it was shocking and heart breaking to see the leaves suddenly falling in March in 2019. It was exceptionally dry that Spring, being one of the driest March months on record EVER, according to Environment Canada.
